Senior Family leadership regularly (typically annually) hold what are termed the Summit meetings, at which the policies, structure and goals of the Family are discussed. Due to the secrecy surrounding senior Family leaders, the locations and agenda of such meetings, which usually last four to six weeks, remain highly confidential.
Although Karen Zerby has personally attended Summit meetings in recent years, she previously communicated with attendees in a publication known as the Summit Jewels or Mama Jewels. These publications were intended for Summit use only and were not made available to The Family's general membership.
