Billie Chainey (U.S. citizen, born 1951, also known as Samaria) joined the Children of God in 1978 after being "fished" into the cult by a man named Gideon whom she later married. In 2006, she self-published a book, Heavenly Seduction, about her experiences in the Children of God. Chainey is permanently disabled and has fibromyalgia and Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. She wrote her book using voice to text software. The proceeds from the sale of her book will go to to pay the costs of her medical care. She lives in the Dominican Republic.
