Gerald P. Curran (also known as Josiah) was a long-time member of The Family.[1][2] On November 14, 1994, he was charged in Henry County, Illinois with one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child under the age of 13.[3] On July 6, 1995, he was found guilty of the first charge of aggravated criminal sexual assault of a child under the age of 13 (a Class X felony) and the second charge was dismissed upon the State's motion.[3] The Honorable Judge Jay M.
