A denizen of the system. Members of The Family are discouraged from socialization with "systemites" except for the purposes of proselytization and fund raising. In addition to perceived spiritual inadequacies, outsiders are often shunned for perceived physical uncleanliness as well. While most Family members don't have a concious justification for doing so, the perception of "systemites" as physically unclean reinforces the spiritual shunning of the outside world and is manifested in many ways, including the following:
- Members are forbidden from having sex with non-members.
- Historically, dishes and utensils used by "systemites" were washed separately.
- Clothes used out in the "system" were to be removed promptly and washed. Please see "system clothes".
