Deceivers Yet True refers to The Family International's controversial belief that it is right to lie in order to protect God's work. This belief is currently taught and practiced by members of the cult. It is derived from the Bible verse II Corinthians 6:8 (KJV):
A comic magazine addressing this doctrine was published internally to educate Family children about the need to protect their families by lying to unbelievers if needed.
