- On January 8th, Angela Marilyn Smith is murdered by former member Ricky Rodriguez who subsequently takes his own life.
- On Jan 17th 2005, xFamily.org is established as a collaborative effort to document and collate information on The Family.
- On March 26th, a memorial for Ricky Rodriguez is held.
