Endtime

The period of time referenced in the Apocalypse, where the Antichrist takes control of the world, followed by the return of Christ 7 years later.

Since its inception as the Children of God, the group has predicted the iminent onset of the endtime. This belief has directly and significantly influenced many Family policies.

In 197?, David Berg prophecied that Jesus would return in 1985. When he failed to show up, however, it was explained that God changed his mind to allow more time for The Family to engage in proselitism and aquire new converts.

The Family believes in a post-tribulation rapture.
