Naomi Prendergast
In July 1999, Naomi Prendergast and her husband, Barry Gerard Prendergast (aka Zack), received the "Parents of the Year" award from the National Parents Day Foundation at a ceremony on Capitol Hill. Former members who heard of the award identified Mr. Prendergrast as a member of the Family who had abused children at a Victor Camp in Italy in the 1980s. After inquiries from Houston Chronicle reporter Evan Moore and others, the Prendergasts returned the award. In 1998, in an amendment to its articles of incorporation, she was added to the Board of Directors of Family Services Colorado, Inc.
