Keys of the Kingdom

Family members call on the various Keys of the Kingdom for supposed extra effect during prayer. This is a relatively new doctrine and considered one of the "new spiritual weapons".

The term's etymology can be traced to Matthew 16:19, where Jesus says, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." The Family believes this passage has assumed greater significance today.
