Talk:Argentina
From XFamily - Children of God
- Peterf: I don't know if the listing of legal problems for every year in Argentina is necessary. Perhaps many of the links could be removed, leaving just the starting year of the more significant cases, and the summary which currently reads "The Family has encountered legal problems in every year of its presence in Argentina" could be elaborated on a bit. Whaddaya think? --Monger 21:01, 10 Jun 2005 (CDT)
- Monger: Yeah, I had my doubts about that as well and I am still uncertain about the best way to organize the case timelines. The idea behind the links for each year was that for each year, there would be a listing of the new cases, status of the pending cases and significant events in those cases. Within each year, each case would have its own page with a case-specific timeline, docket report, filings, etc. Of course, if there aren't new cases for each year that might not be ideal and it might result in duplicated content. There is already that problem with the 1977 ban information mentioned twice on the country page, again on the 1977 page and yet again on another unwritten page. I guess for now I should remove the links for the years for which I haven't yet found cases initated in that year. It can always be expanded as new information and court records become available. It should be noted that there are quite a few cases that are never even mentioned in TF's country dossier pages or the CESNUR pages but which are significant. Another idea is that the Court Cases/Legal Action section could be a timeline of significant events or filings in all the cases with links to specific case pages or court documents as apropriate.
