- November – Due to negative internal reports and complaints by young people, The Family strongly discourages sexual contact between adults and children in a Burn After Reading publication entitled "Liberty Or Stumbling Block?", which was read by adult members only. Prior to this, the published teachings of David Berg sanctioned such practices.
