Burn After Reading (or BAR) — internal publications by The Family International which were required, under threat of excommunication, to be completely destroyed after reading them. Often, these publications were advisories containing instruction which was to be carried out before destroying the "BAR pub". A typical BAR publication was a page or two long, though some were as long as 20 or 30 pages.
